I like to play around with bends quite a lot so my strings are sliding up and down the frets very often. I noticed once in a while while doing a bend the string doesn’t slide smoothly To cause less wear, I think you would want strings made of metal that is as soft or softer than the metal of the frets. So I'd recommend nickel or nickel wound Strings that cause the least wear on frets/fretboard
